Ever the perennial bridesmaid of the ABNA competition, I'm on my own to figure out this crazy path to publication.
That's cool.
Thankfully I had a fully fleshed out 'Plan B' this year which is underway as I query agents.
Glad to see I haven't attempted to query anyone for nearly two years, so I'll hit all those old names with this manuscript.
Moving on to a general YA piece for the next year or so while I see how Varuna plays out.
Of course I could go back to writing about my favorite fantasy tween/teen at a moment's notice because I did make the effort o plan out all five books in the series. Even drafted two of them. That was before all of this reworking so I pretty much have to start from scratch with those.
As for the other YA piece, that's going to require actual, factual research based in the early half of the 70's. That'll be a good change of pace foe me, I think.
